Did it work? Take a look (thanks to YouTube):
Testing the 226
With all that success I went ahead and found all the parts to hook up the radiator.
I assumed I would need to clean out the gas tank, but the 1/2 gallon of very old gas I drained out looked clean. A quick rinse with some fresh gas and it looked like new - just lucky or did Kaiser Frazer get some high quality gas tanks?

Looks fresh out of Willow Run |
Radiator and gas tank hooked up - it's time for another test (more YouTube):
Leaky water pump test run
A new water pump is on its way and I'm putting together an exhaust system. Fixing the clutch pedal and cleaning up the driveshaft... what else am I missing (who needs brakes)?

It's still Winter here - let's go on a walk! |
